Next season (2008-09) every college floor in the nation will be required to have the new extended men's 3-point line painted on their gym floor. Courtsports will provide our customers with two ways of applying the new mens 3-point lines:
1) The most cost-effective way to have the new mens 3-point lines painted on your gym floor is during your annual screen and recoating process. This process involves screening the entire gym floor using a heavy duty floor machine equipped with 120 grit screens, painting the new mens 3-point lines, followed by one or two coats of gym finish. Pricing to paint the new 3-point game lines is $250.00 each. This process normally takes 2-3 days and the floor must dry for 72 hours after it has been completed. 2) If your court floor needs a face lift this may be the perfect opportunity to convince your athletic departments and administrators that the floor should be sanded down to the bare wood. This process involves sanding using 36, 60, 100, and 120 grits. Followed by two seal coats, then painting game lines (including the new mens 3-point line), graphics, logos, and followed with 2 coats of gym finish. This process takes 7-10 days depending on graphics and logos (specifically the number of different colors) and the floor must dry for 5 days after it has been completed.
